The Cloisters Beware of the apparences : we are still in New York ! Located in the north of Manhattan, the Cloisters belongs to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This museum opened in 1938 and was made of real pieces of european religious building. For example, you can see the cloister of Saint Michel de Cuxa abbey, in France.
