Keep NY pride alive !
In wake of the recent attacks, we really need
to come together as a community and as a nation to help rebuild the beautiful city that is New York. Do anything you can, everylittle bit helps ! Keep the pride of NYC alive and strong !!!!!!!!

How terrifying !
I'm a student in Taiwan and
I've never been to NYC.
I always hope that one day
I can go there and see the world famous Twin Towers,
but now I guess it's too late.
My classmate went to NYC
this summer and she said
that she had the last glance
of the World Trade Center.

Native New Yorkers
When Kennedy went to Berlin, he declared that all free people were Berliners. In the same way, I think that after the almost surreal events of September 11th, all peace loving and normal human beings became honoury native New Yorkers. That is with all respect to the people in Washington who were effected as well as those who died on the plane in Pennsylvania. It's just that what most people around the world saw what happened in New York.
The heartbreaking stories that emerge make it even more important the scum who perpetrated these crimes against humanity are caught and their support organisations put beyond further usage.
God bless you all in the USA.

With you New York
It has affected so many, it still affects us daily. As a father of three, tears still well up as I look at the images. Our hearts go out so much to those with family, friends, lovers, colleagues that have died in the attack. Caused by men that have NO religous links, but call themselves members of an Islamic faith, of which true Islams are ashamed to be tarnished by these nothing low lifes.
I myself have no religious beliefs. Nothing will ever compensate for such a loss. Our thoughts will be with you alll, New York for a very long time.

Dave Crisp, Royaume-Uni, 16 octobre 2001

Let's all unite
I am truly shocked by the loss of NY's most notable landmarks and an integral part of lower Manhattan. My father in law worked at the twin towers for over 25 years and only retired a couple of months ago. He surely has lost alot of coworkers/friends.
New Yorkers will band together and support each other and we will make it through. My prayers go out to all who are touched by this horrific act of terrorism.

I can't beleive this !!!
If the point of this was to break us down, aren't they in for
a shock ?? This will only make us stronger than ever before ! What did they think we would do? Just sit back and watch them tear down our country ?? Not gonna happen - as Zell Miller said "We need to bomb the hell out of them". Peace be with all of the families that have lost loved ones and close friends in this terrible time !

Kelly, Etats-Unis, 16 septembre 2001

Notes of France
All my family, my two sons, my wife and all my friends and all fellow workers are very shocked by this terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
We send you our support in this terrible event. Our thinkings go to you and to your families.
Courage to you.
Very sincerely.

Canadians
I can not speak for all Canadians, I can speak for myself. Beyond the outrage we all must feel, the people of the United States of America will always be strong. This American strength will grow even more off the hatred of the people who continue to commit these crimes against so many innocent people. Will God please bless the many Americans, who's lives have been changed forever, by this cowardly attack from a lower life form.

Michael Ishoj, Canada, 14 septembre 2001

This is awfull
Terror against the Humanity again. This is awfull. This is horrible. I am so sorry.
God bless all of you.

Paris and from our hearts

A Poem
"I met you yesterday, but I've never seen your face. My heart cries out to you a thousand miles away. You are my friends, my sisters, my brothers. You are my children, my fathers, my mothers. With much pride and strength, we did ot know how fragile we were. Never a pause for uncertainty, together we a sure. We are America! We move to our own beat, while the world plays on around us. We know not the meaning of defeat. In a blink of an eye yeaterday is gone. But we remain. Our escapes have been short lived. Now we must face life as we see it. With treasures. God's wisdom. Choose freely to give. We can rebuild, but never replace, those who have fallen, into God's embrace. May we be strong and resilient. You lost someone you love, I've lost someone I'll never know. The day after I met you." Malisa Holt, September 12,2001
This poem was written by my sister. She lives in Indiana and just wanted to express how she felt about the terrible tragedy that has befallen our fellow Americans.
Thank you for letting us share this with you. God bless us all.

Tragedy has struck 2001
I still can't believe that a person (or group of people) can have such raw hatred. I didn't know anyone in New York or Washington at the time, but I can tell you that all of Canada has been emotionally struck by this tragic event. I only hope that the world can get through this without any more bloodshed. Canada and its people shall pray for peace.

Cheryl Biles, Canada, 9 octobre 2001

What we need to do
When hate is this strong, we need to think ! We need to love. We need to do the right thing. Make sure ; for with this decision comes a great responsibility. We must not be wrong. We need to end this horror. We can do it, if we believe we are really all one, part of the whole. Haven't we had enough hate ?
When you have cancer, you do what ever you can to get rid of it. But, you don't want to kill innocent cells that are not cancerous. (But unfortunately chemotherapy and radiation do just that...) And you do what you have to. To live.
May we all see, hear and feel all of this. We are a people, not separate factions. Freedom means much more than that.
It means I can be me... It means I will do no harm to you because you are different than me...
This travesty brings emotions I don't like...because hate breeds hate. That is NEVER good.
I have only one question "How can anyone hate that much?"
I thank my soul that there is still faith. And hope. And all of us! We are not America, we are the US! (not my words, but well worth repeating!). Blessed Be.

Tragedy
In Brisbane, Australia, we are shocked and the mindless terror that these people have injected into the lives of innocent people. Having been to New York and
the World Trade Center Buildings, it is hard to imagine them not there. What
is even harder to imagine is the number
of lives taken by this horror. My best
wishes go to all affected.

Bombing
The people who did this must work for the Devil because who would be that LOW and SELFISH to do this ? I hope that whoever did this will rot in hell for eternity.

God bless America
Why would any one do this to New York ? It makes me wonder what was going through the people's heads that where doing this. I am deeply sorry to all the families and friends that have lost people in this tragedy. All my heart goes out the them. I wish I could help in some way but I live in Aberdeen in Scotland. I love America and anything about it. This tragedy makes me more determined to move to the United States.
Kirsty Longhurst, Ecosse, 18 septembre 2001

Thank you
This is to everyone around the world who has expressed their sadness, outrage, anger and tears.
A few days ago I got up just as everyone else in the world did. To the same sun and skies. I got ready for work, just as everyone else in the world did. Same rituals, brush teeth, take a shower etc. I left for work, just as so many others had. This day should be no different. I left my desk for a break, returning just as always. Before I sat down again, my life would be forever changed. Not just like always. Some cowards had entered my backyard and purposefully took the lives of many of my fellow Americans. They attacked without a face, sneaking around as a rat does in the dark. Hiding because there is no honor in what they do.
They try to call it that and say this is for their God. If this is their God I want no part of him. To me the only one I know with that much hatred for mankind is Satan himself.
They took my landmarks that I looked and just knew would be there. They attacked my Capitol, my land, my brothers and sisters. I want them to know this...
They have gone underground just like the rat. They cheer as a Nation mourns it's loses. But they have not taken away the American spirit. To all the people around the world who have shed tears, outrage, and anger, they too are spreading the American spirit. It will not die. I have faith in the leaders of my country and the leaders of the world.
And as my fellow Americans are saying, we will find you and drive you from the holes in the underground. We will bring you out to the light and drop you to your knees.
To those around the world whose hearts are breaking and mourning for America, we all together will stop this terror. Thank you for you thoughts, your prayers, your outrage, your tears and most of all your love and support. Forever grateful.
An American, Etats-Unis, 15 septembre 2001

Tragedy
A message to New York and to all New Yorkers. Though they attacked and changed your skyline, in our hearts it remains.
To New York, New York : you are still so nice they named you twice.
To New Yorkers and other family throughout the world. We love you and our prayers are with you. We pray for those who are still traped, we pray for those who have been rescued, we pray for those who got out in time and we pray for the families and friends of all who were involved and for the many families and friends who lost loved ones. Your pain is felt throughout this world and you have our prayers. May God comfort you through this tragedy. May His peace fall upon you and guide you. May He protects and keeps you.
To all those who are working so hard to rescue those who are still trapped, We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Sincerely,
Someone who believes "Once a New Yorker, always a New Yorker".
